Joined group in: August 2004 Research focus: Polymers and polymer nanocomposites; structure-property relationship; polymer toughening; fracture mechanisms, etc. Personal info: Jia (Daniel) Liu is currently in his fourth year of the Ph.D. program in Materials Science and Engineering. His main research focus is on toughening of polymers and polymer nanocomposites. Mr. Liu obtained his B.S. in Polymer Materials and Engineering from Fudan University, China, in 2002, and M.Phil in Mechanical Engineering from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, in 2004. He is planning to graduate with Ph.D. in August 2008. Mr. Liu is now looking for an R&D position in chemical/plastics industry. Hobbies: Mr. Liu is a current member of Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE), Materials Research Society (MRS), American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), and International Microelectronics and Packaging Society (IMAPS). |
